On the outside it seems to be nothing more than a peaceful, enclosed community a few miles out of Ontario, Canada, where young offenders go to learn and receive help in a relaxing and understanding environment. Sure there are bars on the window and a barbed wire fence around the compound, but how can the teens be helped if they could just freely walk away and return to their lives of crime if they chose to? Well, that's the impression that passers-by tend to have when they pass by the Westerbridge Facility, seeing the well-tended lawns and gardens and spotless white-wash walls, the façade that masks the true nature of the juvenile detention center...
In reality, the inside certainly does not match the outside. Past the well-decorated entrance hall and visiting room its a whole other story, the paint is peeling and walls and floors are stained with years of blood and graffiti and god-knows-what else. The inmates are forced into cramped two-man cells, with separate wings for boys and girls, and seemingly no thought for the safety of the young offenders, where petty thieves and solvent abusers have been known to be thrown in with killers and drug addicts who've been driven out of their minds by their need for a fix. This is all overseen by the sharp eyes of the sadistic wardens, charged with caring for the many teens at Westerbridge, the last thing on their minds seems to be their welfare...
Yet, still there is some form of order even in the most dire of situations: Among the inmates is a group of four known as the Bosses, these are the few that have been at Westerbridge the longest and know the most about the harsh reality of life inside, they are what stands between order and anarchy, they keep the more violent and brash inmates in line and do their best to make their fellows comfortable... well, some of them, some of the time...
The need for order has never been more apparent than now, the Bosses and some fellow teens have a plan that could blast them all out of Westerbridge and back to freedom, but do they possess the patience and organization skills to be able to pull it off? And now with the long-term inmates getting restless and the wardens' punishments becoming more severe, its only a matter of time before something breaks and it all comes crashing down on top of them...
Welcome to the rest of your life.
Welcome to Westerbridge Juvenile Detention Facility.
